Giuseppe Cruciani criticizes double standards; "Hypocrites!" is now available in bookstores.

With his characteristic irreverent, provocative and ironic approach, the host of 'La Zanzara' reviews the thousand forms in which hypocrisy rages in our country.
From inclusive language to the RAI occupation, from fascist obsession to feminist delirium, from left-wing respectability to false bigotry, how long is the list of double standards and double standards? This consideration is the starting point of 'Ipocriti!' , the new book (released on July 1st by Cairo Editore) by Giuseppe Cruciani , the journalist and host of the highly popular program 'La Zanzara' on Radio24 .
With his trademark irreverent, provocative, and ironic approach , Cruciani reviews the myriad ways in which hypocrisy rages in our country. He takes issue with the champions of tolerance, horrified by the sight of citizens lined up and handcuffed, expelled from the US by Trump, who said nothing when it happened even under democratic governments. He takes issue with "those who say if the left occupies state television, it's democracy, while if the right does it, it's fascism." "Those who are against intimidation, violence, and squadrism, but it depends on your political affiliation." Or again, "those who, in the name of freedom, invented the anti-fascist clause for renting public halls or theaters, which blatantly contradicts what they themselves claim."
The list is long, and Cruciani doesn't save anyone. According to the author, we are surrounded by hypocrites, ready to emerge from every field—politics, culture, entertainment—depending on the direction communication and propaganda should take. Hypocrites at every level: consensus-seeking leaders who make promises they rarely keep, and ordinary people who, to appear better in the eyes of others, adopt contradictory behavior. "Hypocrites who cry fascism even though fascism no longer exists. Hypocrites who rail against the police when they do their duty. Hypocrites who are outraged by OnlyFans, but don't disdain frequenting them. Hypocrites who preach hospitality, but in other people's homes... Praising good things and practicing bad things has become the national sport." In this new book, Cruciani analyzes the double standards of individuals and institutions, showing how hypocrisy has now become systemic. And it challenges the reader to reflect on their own beliefs, which are often influenced by "one-track thinking." A recommended read also for livening up discussions under the beach umbrellas.
